Wedding Trends 2023

Planning a wedding can be an exciting and overwhelming process. There are so many decisions to make, from selecting the type of cake to deciding on a venue—and that’s not even mentioning all the little details! We can absolutely help you with that, As wedding planners, one part of our job is to be in the know. That means every year we follow new colors, styles, fragrances, and food, if it’s part of a wedding we are going to research it. We are happy to share some of the wedding trends for 2023.

In: Rustic Elegance

Rustic elegance is one of the biggest wedding trends for 2023, and it’s easy to see why. This trend combines natural elements with upscale touches to create a sophisticated but comfortable atmosphere. Think wood accents, greenery, wildflowers, and vintage-inspired décor. Natural materials like wood and stone can also be used to add texture and warmth without being too over-the-top or ostentatious. Don’t be afraid to mix rustic elements with more traditional touches—you might be surprised by how well they go together!

All-white décor has been popular for years, but it’s time for something new. In 2023, couples should avoid the all-white aesthetic in favor of something more colorful and vibrant. Bright colors can bring your reception hall or outdoor space to life, while white can make everything feel flat. Even if you’re still set on having an all-white wedding, try adding subtle touches of color here and there—it will make a big difference!

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in all aspects of life—including weddings! More couples are choosing eco-friendly options when planning their big day. This could also mean using locally sourced food or decorating with repurposed items instead (think rentals).  It could also mean foregoing paper invitations in favor of digital ones. Whatever you choose, sustainable weddings are sure to be one of the hottest trends in 2023!

If you’re getting married in 2023, these trends should give you an idea of what’s hot (and what’s not). Rustic elegance is definitely in this year—think natural materials mixed with upscale elements for maximum impact. On the other hand, couples should stay away from all-white décor as it tends to look flat and uninteresting compared to bolder colors. Finally, sustainable weddings are growing increasingly popular and will likely continue to do so throughout 2023 (and beyond!).
