If you are considering a Monteverde at Oldstone wedding, we couldn’t be happier for you! This venue is one of our favorites, right in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Its history, great location, and unique vibe make it one of the most popular wedding venues in the Westchester area.
As Hudson Valley wedding planners, we have often planned and designed weddings at Monteverde Estate. If you’re planning a wedding here, you are in luck; Rogan and Co’s owner and lead planner, Stacey Rogan, shares some of her best tips based on her experience working at the Monteverde Estate.
We love designing and planning at Monteverde because it is a tented venue, giving us a blank canvas we can customize for each client. We have perfected the vendor selection that works well at Monteverde, and we love sharing this curated vendor list with our couples.
The sail cloth tent overlooking the Hudson River Valley and beautiful estate allows us to create a spectacular formal event. There is nothing you can’t do inside a tent. Lighting, florals, custom dance floors, let’s remember the custom menu and the on-demand river views.
Monteverde Estate is a stunning, restored 18th-century secluded estate in the heart of the Hudson Valley. With views overlooking the Hudson River, it features unique elements, including a 100-year-old grape arbor and a handcrafted stone staircase.
We have created unique floor plans for a 250-people wedding. Instead of 25 round tables, we incorporated farm tables with different floral-design elements than the round tables. This included custom runners and floral containers; accented by custom chargers and floral chandeliers.
This summer, we incorporated unique lounge designs for the cocktail hour and reception to give us “Summer on the Hudson.”
I love this venue for an adventurous couple seeking the Hudson Valley as a destination wedding; the options are endless. Monteverde at Oldstone is ideally located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, just 90 minutes from New York City.
Based on the guest count, our couples usually opt for larger round tables to give the guests more room while enjoying their dinner and afterward, as guests love to mingle. Monteverde has beautiful chairs, but if you can’t see them, you can’t appreciate them.
We always suggest that the couple opts for a later ceremony time; to allow the sun to move away from directly overhead of the ceremony area. This past summer, we had a unique timeline where the cocktail hour was before the ceremony; it was a big hit with the guests.
Stacey from Rogan and Co. knows all the ins and outs at Monteverde and will be a helpful asset as you bring your wedding vision to life. For this style of venue, we recommend a full wedding planning package, which allows us to guide you through the wedding planning process, holding your hand through each step. We cannot wait to start planning with you!
